Rebecca Hagelin has championed the pro-family message in both Washington and around the nation for some twenty years. She is a vice president of The Heritage Foundation (Heritage.org) whose vision is to build an America where freedom, opportunity, prosperity and civil society flourish. Her weekly column, "Heart Beat", appears on WorldNetDaily.com, Townhall.com, UPI, PatriotPost.us, and other outlets throughout the country and is characterized by its exploration of social and cultural issues through the eyes of a mother. Hagelin has been a commentator for Salem radio and a guest co-host of Point of View as well as guest host for ABC Radio's WMAL. A poised and articulate spokesperson, Hagelin is the author of numerous articles published nationally and is a veteran of hundreds of radio, television, newspaper, and magazine interviews, including numerous appearances on CNN, Fox News, and national network news programs. In 2006, Concerned Women for America named her one of the nation's "Top Ten Evangelical Women," and in 2007 the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute named Hagelin one of the 12 "Great American Conservative Women." She serves on the board of directors/advisors for many family related organizations and is active in her church. She is also a board member of Gegrapha, an international organization of Christian journalists and a senior editor of Salvo magazine, a new publication that challenges young adults to think critically about the destructive/false messages of today's culture. She is the author of Home Invasion: Protecting Your Family in a Culture That's Gone Stark Raving Mad. She and her husband, Andy, have been married for over twenty years and are parents of three.
